Our Mexican talavera ceramic sinks are molded and painted by hand. They are made of ceramic and fired twice; once before they are decorated, and a second time after they are glazed. Talavera colors and shine will not fade with proper care. We recommend NOT to use abrasive cleaners, as they "eat-up" the finish.

Porcelain Sink
A beautiful sink! BUT I can't find a faucet that fits. The holes are standard, but not the base width. After an exhaustive search at stores and on-line, and finding nothing that fits, we are going to try and grind down the old faucet to make its base smaller. What a bummer that I may end up with a beautiful sink which is unusable. I did call the company before purchasing to get dimensions and information, but the woman who answered did not have any useful information. I assumed that the holes for a faucet, etc, were standard and so I purchased it. ( Tierra del Fuego does sell faucets which I assume will fit their sinks, but they cost $1,200-1,400, which is 4 times what the sink cost, and is an outrageous price for a faucet. I am wondering if I got scammed? Buy a beautiful sink for a great price and then have to buy a super expensive faucet)
